Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos

As all of you should know, I - that is to say, Aragorn - am a WC fan. I may not be VERY good but I am getting there. I play orc and am working on diversifying into playing humans. I am not on Battle.net as yet ( got no net speed to boast of) but I am trying to get a good enough proxy that will let me play there.

Point is, I just wanted to show (off to) you two of my recent games played on a pre-patch version of WC3: RoC.

One is a 3v2 on Ice Crown with all players being organic, living, breathing, bipedal beings (as separate from being "human" ) ,with me on the handicapped side. Take care to note how I use my heroes and level them quicker than most, although it turns out that I lose the game in the bitter end thanks to a lousy human partner who gets to a point around 10 minutes after he's been called, when the battle-fires are doused and the towers mended.

The other is a 4v2, also on Ice Crown, with the team of 4 being "organic" and the team of 2 being comps (note that my version did not have easy/moderate/hard grading for comp players and they were on hard by default). The comps levelled their heroes much quicker than us owing to the openness of the map and the fact that we were much more crowded together than them, but here superior teamwork and continual and consistent attacks on our part did them in in around an hour.

In both games, note the choice of units of the leading players - it shows a particular bias towards certain combinations of heroes and units that tends to work well more often than not.

Here is to WC and World of Warcraft!!! (I hope to start on that soon, you know - I am Nazgrel, the Far Seer)

PS: I found these really cool places for more replays...
